The Shibori process is methodical and time-consuming. It cannot be rushed and is therefore meditative. But with patience and precision come rewards. Kate enjoys the manipulation of the fabric, putting it through its paces with creases and clamps. Yet the fabric always seems to oblige, taking whatever is thrown at it, to become a new form or colour or pattern.
